Freeservers does not condone or allow spam
(the term "spam" meaning the sending
of unsolicited e-mail). Freeservers expressly
forbids any user from promoting their site through
the use of spam, and forbids the use of any Freeservers
address as the return address on any unsolicited
e-mail. Freeservers will take active steps to
investigate and remove the offending Web site
or user account on notification of a violation.
In addition, Freeservers has taken the following
steps to defend against spam:
- Each user at the time of joining Freeservers
agrees to follow our no spam rules as contained
in our Acceptable
Use Policy.
- Our No-Spam
policy, Acceptable
Use Policy, and a link
for reporting violations of this nature
are included at the bottom of all significant
pages on our site so that visitors can help
us maintain our high content standards.
- Freeservers has created an abuse@freeservers.com
e-mail address as a universal mailbox for
people who are not aware of our form page
and would like to report content abuses.
- Freeservers has a zero tolerance policy
for spam. If a site residing on Freeservers
resorts to unsolicited e-mail to promote the
site, or use Freeservers' name, addresses,
or services in any way, the site will be subject
to immediate deletion from the Freeservers
network, and that user's account will be terminated.
- Freeservers offers an e-mail product which
has been designed with built-in spam-combating
technologies. If we find that our e-mail product
offering has been misused by any Freeservers
user, that user's site will be subject to
immediate deletion. In addition, every effort
has been taken to prevent the relaying of
spam using our mail servers.
- Freeservers will cooperate with legal authorities
in releasing names and IP addresses of its
users who are involved in spamming or other
illegal activities using their Web site.
If you have any questions or suggestions regarding
our no-spam policy, please send them to abuse@freeservers.com.
